Hoover iron AIBDC : 0_1962 Such a familiar product to people of a certain age. A wonderful marriage of steel and phenol formaldehyde. May be someone in your family worked at Hoover in the 1950s and can tell us what the set up there was then? We especially want to know who designed this iron but we would interested in anything else you can tell us about it. The Hoover model 0114 steam or dry iron introduced steam ironing to Britain when this model was launched in July 1953.
