Dust pan and brush AIBDC: 0_6617 The using of the skirt as a brush has been much copied. We think this may be the first example of it and believe the originator of the idea deserves to be credited. Please can you help us find him/her? We are also keen to get more information on the take over of Betterwear that led to the name changing to Betterware. Very interesting to see the different packaging and also the coloured bristles. I am interested in the mention here: http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/original-betterwear-betterware-282391346 that the version up for sale is a Betterwear rather than Betterware version. How about writing to them and asking what they know or writing to Betterware which is still in business? It would also be interesting to know if they are all out of the same mould. Does one of them have more of a pinched waist than the others?

I'm not at all sure all the heads are the same either? Does anyone else have a view on this?

Crinoline Lady Crumb Brush and Tray

Thanks to Agent Yvonne Foster  we now have the official title for this object. We also know that it it was marketed in at least three different packages including a festive Christmas one and that there was a version with coloured bristles. We think it dates from the 1950s but perhaps it went on being made for many years.

We're still no closer to finding out who designed it? An onquiry to the firme of Betterware might yield results? We would love you to take on this case and see if contacting the company yeilds results.
